MPPA plans chili and multimedia party

This year’s Chili Party will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. in rooms 152 and 153 of Lansing Community College’s Gannon Building.

Here’s a campus map and a Google map. The parking ramp immediately adjacent to the building is free on Sundays.

Instead of having a single presenter this year, we’re planning a multimedia critique and discussion session. All members who would like to participate should send a link to one multimedia project/slideshow/video to mipressphoto [at] gmail [dot] com, at least a week before the event.

This should be a good chance to take a look at some of the work other members are doing, get some constructive criticism, and get a dialogue going about the various approaches to multimedia reporting. We’ll view the pieces at the event, so please keep length in mind when choosing your submissions.

As always, there will be portfolio reviews for students — and, oh, bring some chili.
